Stokke was first introduced to Fowler through social media. Their first public appearance was during the Grand Prix of the Americas, in Texas on April 17, 2017. Fowler revealed that it was him who first reached for Stokke.

Melissa Cuevas is the twin sister to Mark Cuevas who competed on season 1. She responded in on social media that there was "none in it" scripted. Apparently, certain outcomes from this show were a surprise to the entire staff.
